Dr. Alex Zaphiris Returns to WholeFamily MD!
WholeFamily MD is so pleased to welcome Dr. Alex Zaphiris back to the practice!
Dr. Zaphiris is an integrative primary care provider who is triple board-certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. She first joined WholeFamily MD back in September 2009, and then went on to open her own practice in Mill Valley. With her return to WholeFamily MD, she will split her time between seeing patients in San Francisco and at the Mill Valley location.
Dr. Zaphiris uses a mixture of integrative approaches to treat a wide variety of conditions, from mental health concerns to heart disease. Her treatment plans are individualized for each patient, and include Western medicine, nutrition, osteopathic manual medicine, mind-body approaches, ear acupuncture, and functional medicine.
Dr. Zaphiris also specializes in helping patients recover from pain medication addiction, including Oxycodone, OxyContin, Vicodin, Percocet, and heroin. She has nearly a decade of experience using medications to treat addiction and dependence and uses a variety of integrative approaches to help patients get back to feeling well. She enjoys collaborating with therapists and psychiatrists to maximize her patients’ care.
