POTENTIAL NEW PATIENTS:
What about labs and other tests, are they covered by my insurance?
In general, your PPO insurance will cover your lab tests and other studies at the same rate as if they were ordered by an in-network physician. We recommend that you check in advance with your insurer since policies vary from plan to plan.
What happens if I need to be hospitalized?
We both have admitting privileges at California Pacific Medical Center and San Francisco General Hospital. In general, we work very hard to keep our patients out of the hospital. In the rare event that you or your child should be hospitalized, we enlist the in-patient specialists at the hospital to care for you, as they are present in the hospital 24/7. During your hospital stay we will usually make one or more courtesy visit and will also be in daily contact with the in-patient specialists regarding your progress.
What is a telephone or email consultation?
In order to make our services more accessible and more affordable, we offer telephone and email consultations. In general, these consultations cost substantially less than an in-person visit. These consultations are most appropriate as a follow-up to an in-person visit, as a way to discuss lab results or to address a specific issue that does not require a physical exam.
To schedule a telephone consultation please call 415.642.0333 or email reception@wholefamilymd.org
You may also email your doctor directly with your question.
swanavril@sbcglobal.net, dm@drdaphne.com, az@alexzaphiris.com
For telephone consultations we will ask you to provide a phone number where you can be easily reached during a window of time. Upon scheduling a telephone consultation, you will be asked to provide a credit card number for the consult fee.
What are your rates?
Rates may vary depending on additional treatments or in-office tests that are provided during the visit.
We offer reduced rates to patients who qualify.
